It is important that students attend school beginning with the first day of school.  Please make your plans accordingly so students can start on the first day.

Announcements

The school's office is closed during the summer, although we do check e-mail and voicemail very frequently.  The Title I and ELL summer programs will be using the Whittemore School during July.  Please note that the even though the building may appear occupied, if you have any Whittemore related questions or concerns, please e-mail us thru the school website or leave us a message and we will get back to you.

Are you Moving BEFORE September? Please let us know! Call the school and LEAVE A MESSAGE and someone will return your call within a few days.  Or contact the PIC.

Are you thinking of volunteering in Classrooms, Library or school in general Next Year??

If you are planning to volunteer during the 2009-2010 schol year in classrooms, the library, field trips, or anything else during the school year, you must have an up to date CORI.  To have your CORI done, please stop by the office with a valid photo ID.  Please keep in mind that at the beginning of the school year, it may take several weeks for your CORI to come back to us. 

 

CORI's are good for 3 years and are good for all Waltham Schools.

School begins at 8:42 and ends at 3:00 pm.

 

Absentee Phone Line

C   Call the absentee phone number before 8:30am to inform the school if your child will be absent from school that day.  After 8:30 please call the school office, 781-314-5780.  We will continue to utilize Tele-Check, a program where the parent agrees to call school each and every time a child is absent. In return, as a safety check, the school will attempt to call you if your child does not arrive at school and we have not received a phone call. If your child is absent 3 or more consecutive days, he/she will be referred to the school nurse upon his/her return.
